About PNG and JPG
PNG is a lossless format with alpha transparency — great for logos, screenshots and UI exports, but often overkill for photographs. JPG uses lossy compression tuned for photographic content, producing files that are typically 60-80% smaller with no visible quality loss. Converting PNG to JPG is the right move whenever file size matters more than transparency: email attachments, Slack uploads, blog hero images, product photography. Our converter runs entirely in your browser via the Canvas API, which means no upload wait, no quota, and no risk of a server storing your personal photos. The default quality setting (92) is visually lossless for essentially every real-world photo.

The questions
Frequently asked
Why would I convert PNG to JPG?
JPG files are typically 60-80% smaller than PNG, which matters for websites, email attachments and sharing on messaging apps that compress large images anyway.
Will I lose transparency?
JPG does not support transparency. Transparent PNG areas are flattened to white (configurable background colour is on the roadmap).
What quality setting do you use?
We default to quality 92, which is visually lossless. Custom quality sliders are a Pro feature on the roadmap.
Can I convert multiple PNGs at once?
Yes. Drop as many PNGs as you want — each is converted locally and downloaded individually or as a .zip.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser using the Canvas API, so your images never leave your device.
Is it really free?
Yes. Unlimited conversions, no signup, no watermark.
