Privacy policy.

Short version

Your files are converted entirely inside your browser. They never reach our servers because we don't operate conversion servers. We collect no personally identifying information and we have no account system.

§ 01

What we don't collect

  • Your files — they are processed on your device and never uploaded.
  • Account information — there is no signup.
  • Payment details — the service is free.
  • Content of any file you convert, including filenames.
§ 02

What we do collect

We use privacy-respecting analytics (via Vercel Analytics and, in future, Google Analytics 4) to understand aggregate usage: which pages are visited, what country region visitors come from, and how long sessions last. Analytics records never contain filenames, file contents, or anything you upload.

Browser-side storage (localStorage) keeps your light/dark theme choice and a flag for whether you've dismissed the cookie banner. That data never leaves your device.

§ 03

Third-party services

Some converters load code or runtime binaries (like FFmpeg WebAssembly) from a public CDN on first use. The CDN sees a standard web request from your browser (IP, user-agent, requested URL) — the file you are converting is never part of that request.

We may add Google AdSense in future, which uses cookies to serve ads. If and when that happens, this policy will be updated and the cookie banner will prompt you to opt in or out.

§ 04

Children's privacy

This service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

§ 05

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how data is handled, we'll update this page and bump the effective date at the top. For non-material fixes (typos, clarifications) we may update silently.

§ 06
